Systems of Emotion :

A system is a complex group of elements or items coming together to perform a single function. This is how I see emotions. Every iota of feeling or thought is the sum of a combination of responses, memories or expectations we experience.  ‘Magma Emotions’ in this series of paintings [see art gallery] tries to bring these elements to the forefront using mixed media from oils to glass pebbles on the canvas. If you could ’see’ an emotion in action, is this probably what it would look like?

Bodyform: The fabric of ourselves  

 The Book of Genesis in the Bible talks about the origins of Man, his purpose on earth, his uniqueness as a living soul made up of body and spirit. This collection includes works of graphite on pastel paper, towards the use of mixed media and natural materials to form a collage. Each work tells the story of an aspect of our lives, our fears, weaknesses, joys and our triumphs.
